In a high-level meeting held in New Delhi, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister, met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explore new opportunities for strengthening the longstanding partnership between the UAE and India.
The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation across strategic sectors including trade, investment, infrastructure, logistics, technology, energy, space, and digital transformation. Both leaders expressed their commitment to building on the momentum of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the Bilateral Investment Treaty to attract greater investments and drive economic growth.
Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed the UAE’s pride in its enduring relationship with India, grounded in shared interests and a mutual vision for sustainable development. He highlighted the increasing role of innovation, AI, and food security in future collaboration between the two nations.
Emphasizing the importance of the Indian community in the UAE’s development, Sheikh Hamdan noted the country’s inclusive environment, world-class infrastructure, and flexible regulatory framework that continues to attract global talent and investment.
The meeting also addressed the importance of strengthening ties between private sectors in both countries and launching new joint ventures that align with national and regional development priorities.
In addition to economic dialogue, the two leaders discussed global and regional issues, underlining the importance of diplomacy, collaboration, and dialogue in maintaining stability and driving progress.
