Dubai is stepping up its artificial intelligence (AI) ambitions with the launch of the second cycle of the Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator, a programme designed to fast-track the development of transformative AI solutions for the emirate’s public sector.
Run by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) in collaboration with Dubai Future Accelerators under the Dubai Future Foundation, the initiative invites both local and global innovators to co-create solutions addressing real-world challenges faced by more than 20 government entities.
The aim is clear: make Dubai a global leader in AI-powered public services that are smarter, faster, and more accessible.
Core Focus Areas
The accelerator will centre on four key priorities:
- Personalising services to elevate user experience.
- Creating new AI solutions for emerging needs.
- Streamlining operations to boost efficiency.
- Ensuring inclusivity so every resident and visitor can benefit.
These objectives align with Dubai’s wider AI strategy to integrate advanced technology into daily life for citizens, residents, and businesses.
What’s in It for Innovators
Selected companies will join an eight-week fully funded residency in Dubai from 6 October to 28 November 2025, with travel and accommodation covered.
Participants will gain direct access to policymakers, expert mentors, and project leads—cutting through bureaucracy and speeding up product development. The model eliminates equity trade-offs, ensuring innovators retain ownership of their solutions.
Track Record from Cycle One
The first cycle drew 615 companies from 55 countries, generating 183 AI use cases. Of these, 75 have already been piloted with Dubai government departments—leading to tangible improvements in service efficiency, cost savings, and accessibility.
This year, organisers aim to surpass those results with solutions that can be deployed rapidly across government services.
How to Apply
Applications are open until 28 August 2025. Proposals must detail the AI solution, its relevance to Dubai’s public sector, and its expected impact. Successful applicants will be notified before the October residency begins.
Why It Matters
Beyond showcasing cutting-edge AI applications, the accelerator reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation. By prioritising practical, ready-to-implement solutions, the programme ensures technology directly improves the lives of residents, supports businesses, and enhances the city’s long-term digital transformation.
With a growing ecosystem of forward-thinking government bodies, Dubai is setting a benchmark for how cities can harness AI to serve people better—today and in the future.
