Dubai Taxi Company and Dubai Airports Forge Five-Year Strategic Partnership to Enhance Passenger Mobility

Trips from Dubai Airports Expected to Surpass 8 Million by 2029, Generating AED 2.5 Billion in Revenue

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has entered into a landmark five-year strategic partnership with Dubai Airports, solidifying its position as the exclusive taxi service provider at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC). This agreement underscores DTC’s leading role in premium mobility services and its commitment to meeting the growing transportation demands driven by Dubai’s increasing influx of tourists and visitors.

Strengthening a Long-Standing Partnership

The collaboration reaffirms the enduring relationship between DTC and Dubai Airports, which has been in place since 1997. In 2024, Dubai Airports welcomed 93 million passengers across both DXB and DWC, leading to approximately 6 million limousine and taxi trips. Looking ahead, annual trips are projected to exceed 8 million by 2029, generating an estimated AED 2.5 billion in revenue over the five-year period.

DTC’s growth over the years has been remarkable. From an initial fleet of just 100 taxis, the company has evolved into Dubai’s foremost taxi operator by market share. Today, it boasts a state-of-the-art airport fleet comprising approximately 900 taxis, including 700 dedicated airport taxis, pink taxis for families, women, and children, and accessible vehicles designed for People of Determination. Additionally, DTC operates around 500 premium limousines, ensuring world-class transportation solutions.

The agreement was formalized by Mansoor Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, and Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

Innovative Smart Transportation Solutions

A key highlight of this partnership is the integration of smart transportation technologies. DTC’s taxi and limousine services at Dubai Airports are equipped with advanced smart dispatch systems and instant booking technology accessible via user-friendly applications. These innovations allow passengers to conveniently book taxis, enjoy cashless payment options, and experience seamless transportation with real-time tracking and monitoring through DTC’s control center.

Mansoor Alfalasi emphasized the significance of the agreement, stating, “Our relationship with Dubai Airports has been instrumental in positioning DTC as the premier mobility provider in the region. As the exclusive taxi service operator at Dubai’s airports for more than two decades, we remain committed to enhancing passenger experiences by integrating cutting-edge technology and delivering world-class transportation services.”

Fleet Expansion for Enhanced Service Efficiency

To accommodate the increasing passenger volume, DTC expanded its dedicated airport taxi fleet in 2024, doubling its capacity to improve service efficiency. This strategic move is expected to boost trip numbers by 30%, significantly reducing waiting times and optimizing service speed. The expansion also ensures that the airport’s transportation needs are met without diverting taxis from the city’s regular fleet.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, highlighted the importance of reliable transport services, stating, “Our vision at Dubai Airports is to offer a seamless and effortless experience for every traveler. Reliable, efficient, and well-integrated ground transport is a critical component of that vision. Through this partnership, we are ensuring that every guest arriving at DXB and DWC experiences world-class mobility solutions, in line with our commitment to speed, convenience, and service excellence.”

Supporting Dubai’s Economic and Tourism Vision

This strategic partnership aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a premier global hub for business and tourism. By delivering high-quality, sustainable, and innovative mobility solutions, DTC plays a vital role in enhancing Dubai’s transportation landscape and elevating the overall travel experience for visitors.

As part of its 2025-2029 strategy, DTC aims to further cement its position as the largest taxi operator in Dubai and a regional leader in the transportation sector. By leveraging strategic partnerships and pioneering new mobility initiatives, the company remains dedicated to shaping the future of transportation while upholding the highest standards of service excellence.

With this renewed commitment, Dubai Taxi Company and Dubai Airports continue to set new benchmarks in the industry, ensuring that every journey—whether by land or air—is a seamless and memorable experience for all passengers.
